About the Eagle's Landing B&B, Winery and Vineyard
Located on the Great River Road in Marquette, the Eagle's Landing Winery boasts several award-winning wines. It has been awarded the “Best Iowa Wine”, “Rose Wine of the Year” and Best of Class in several wine competitions.

Depending on your wine tastes, you'll be able to find dessert wines, dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet and sweet wines. While you're browsing the wine selection, drink some wine in the Wine Garden, located on the grounds of the winery. Once you have made your selections, visit the gift shop and pick up several gifts or mementos of your visit.

Don't forget about walking around Eagle's Landing and taking in all of its beautiful sights. The Eagles Landing Bed & Breakfast itself is a timber frame home, using cedar logs. The entire home uses no nails or screws. Instead, everything is held together by sturdy wooden pins. This B&B is the only one located right on the Mississippi River. You'll be able to relax outdoors, watching birds.

Other Activities and Areas of Interest
Visit the Effigy Mounds National Park, where you can see 31 early American Indian earthen mounds in the shapes of animals. If you and your spouse are interested in taking a walk, the Pikes Peak State Park is also conveniently located close to the winery.

The winery is close enough to the river to enjoy a riverboat tour on the Maiden Voyage which runs up and down the Mississippi River. Two-hour tours are available six days a week. In the fall months, take advantage of the Fall Foliage tours so you can enjoy the changing colors of the leaves on the trees.

Across the river in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, you can visit and tour Villa Louis, an authentic 19th century Victorian estate. Inside the mansion, you'll marvel at the furnishings, which reflect the Victorian period. Prairie du Chien also boasts Fort Crawford, the only spot in Wisconsin where a battle was fought during the War of 1812. The self-guided tour will allow you to witness Wisconsin's military history, see the tools that frontier and military doctors used and learn how Prairie du Chien grew into the river town that it is today.
